Dr. Naveen Jaglan currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), New Delhi. Prior to this, he was associated with Jaypee University of Information Technology for over eight years, where he held the position of Associate Professor since 2022. He also served as the University-level Faculty In-charge of the Jaypee Youth Club, leading campus-wide initiatives focused on student leadership, engagement, and holistic development.
He received his B.Tech. (Hons.) and M.Tech. (Hons.) degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2009 and 2011, respectively, followed by a Ph.D. in 2017 with a specialization in antenna design. He has filed eight patents, of which two have been granted and six are published. He has successfully supervised three PhD scholars whose research led to high-impact contributions. In addition, he has guided numerous M.Tech and B.Tech dissertations, offering academic and research mentorship at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. He has published over 30 papers in SCI journals, including IEEE Transactions and Magazines, with 1,580+ citations and an h-index of 21. He has been recognized in the world’s top 2% scientists list by Stanford University, USA.
His expertise includes antenna and RF circuit modeling using tools such as Ansys HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, and ADS Momentum, along with measurement experience using vector network analyzers and anechoic chambers. His research interests include antenna design for wireless, satellite, radar, and biomedical applications; 5G/6G smartphone and MIMO antennas; UWB, DRA, reconfigurable, and conformal antennas; and computational electromagnetics. He works on metamaterials, EBG/PBG structures, FSS, DGS, and CRLH transmission lines. Additional focus areas include multi-band and wideband microstrip antennas, RFID systems, millimeter-wave and integrated antennas, microwave components (power dividers, couplers, filters), RF MEMS devices, EMC/interference mitigation, high-k dielectrics, and telecommunication security.
He serves as a reviewer for several reputed international journals, including IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, and IEEE Internet of Things Journal, among others. To date, he has reviewed over 710 manuscripts, and his outstanding contributions to the peer-review process have been recognized by Clarivate Analytics on the Web of Science.
