Biosketch
Dr. Tarun Rawat is currently a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), New Delhi. Prior to joining NSUT, he served as a Lecturer in the ECE Department at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, New Delhi, from 2003 to 2005. At NSUT (formerly NSIT), he served as a Teaching-cum-Research Fellow (August 2005–April 2008), Assistant Professor (April 2008–March 2020), and Associate Professor (April 2020–March 2023). He received his AMIETE in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from IETE in 2000, followed by M.Tech. in Signal Processing (2003) and Ph.D. (2010) from NSIT, University of Delhi.
His research interests include circuit modelling using stochastic differential equations, stochastic nonlinear filters, image processing, quantum signal processing, digital systems, wave digital filters, digital differentiators, Hilbert transformers, microwave filters, and fractional-order systems using soft computing techniques. His recent research thrusts focus on FPGA implementation of DSP algorithms and signal processing techniques for next-generation wireless communication systems.
Dr. Rawat has successfully guided 10 Ph.D. scholars, all of whom are currently pursuing careers in academia, including faculty positions at institutions such as DTU, Thapar University, and Indraprastha University etc. He is currently supervising 04 doctoral scholars and has guided more than 40 M.Tech. theses.
He has published more than 55 papers in international journals and over 50 papers in international conferences. He has also authored two books, Signals and Systems and Digital Signal Processing, published by Oxford University Press in 2010 and 2014, respectively.
Dr. Rawat is a Fellow of IETE, Life Member of ISTE, and Member of IEEE. His biography has also been featured in several editions of Marquis’ Who’s Who and the International Biographical Centre.
