Dr. Sandeep Singh Chauhan is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Netaji Subhash University of Technology. He earned his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University in 2011 and an M.Tech. in Nanoelectronics from NIT Karnataka, Surathkal, in 2014. He was awarded with the Prime Minister’s Scholarship by the Ministry of Defence during his undergraduate studies.

He completed his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT Roorkee, with part of his research conducted at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), IISc Bangalore (2016–2017). Earlier, he worked at DRDO's Solid-State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), Delhi, during his M.Tech. dissertation (2013–2014). He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi from October 2020 to October 2022,

Dr. Chauhan is a recipient of the IEEE IES Students and Young Professionals (SandYPs) Award at ICIT 2018 in Lyon, France. He has published over 28 peer-reviewed research papers and holds a granted Indian patent on MEMS vibrational energy harvesting.

His research interests include microfabrication, piezoelectric energy harvesting, thin film growth and characterization, MEMS/NEMS device design and fabrication, sensors, actuators, and flexible electronics.
